My frequent trips to India are always a delight, but this time a special opportunity was presented to us to work with a team of creative people on the Incredible India tourism campaign. We've travelled across three cities and shot footage from Delhi to Agra and then onto Jaipur in Rajasthan. From the little snippets I've seen it looks so special. Incredible India indeed! Really looking forward to sharing this with you when it goes live in a few months.
I knew India could keep getting better and better as there is so much to see and experience, but as you start to feel all of the layers of magic it certainly gets into your bloodstream. I know after this trip it is going to be particularly hard to resettle back into normal life, whatever that is now.
We started off the work portion of the trip in the print studio, where we collaborate with some very talented people. We had such fun brainstorming over a great selection of newly inspired prints and hand-matched our selection with all the beautiful trims which will complement these perfectly.
We've also created a special Christmas collection for that crazy time of year when festivities are in full swing. Think low maintenance garmets that are easy to wear and travel-friendly, but with a high fashion vibe. Having had my hands buried in these gorgeous textiles over the past week, I am so excited about how stunning it will be. I can't wait to show you at the next round of showings and trade shows.
I always try to have a mini break while in India, and this trip we decided to escape to Ananda, an incredible spa in the country's north. I paid the retreat a visit three years ago and had forgotten just how sensational this place really is. There is something magical about the location and the ambience. Maybe it's the fact that you just wear the white kurta the whole time you are there? Just wearing something so comfortable and white makes you instantly switch off from work mode.
The we set up in the Naudic studio and moved onto more prints, embroideries and schiflis. This season is going to so bright and fun with new shapes and handiwork.
We look forward to catching up again very soon, when we get back out on the road to say hi!
With love from where I sit in India,
